Being a product of public schools, I know how they teach. Most teacher today teach to the test and not the actual subject. This creates problems because on things like the SAT a lot of what's on test has never been taught to me. Being a junior, this year I'm supposed to take it sometime this year. Having took the PSAT I can tell you already that it's not good. The math was absolutely ridiculous, but everything else was okay. So, how do we fix this, we fix it at the core. Right when students enter kindergarten, there needs to be a set in place book that coincides with the the entire country so it's the same for all public school kindergarteners. It should be like this all the way to high school. Not only this, but the SAT board should get together with the board of education so that the SAT is actually passable for everyone, and not just those who live in a good part of town, and are able to take AP courses.

It's funny that we are told to act mature but we are treated like children. We are just another robot in the system. I'm told that I need calculus but i'm not told We are forced to take unnecessary 'compulsory' classes. We don't learn how to be unique. We learn how to participate in this game called school. ..............

I couldn't agree more. The way I suggested for it to change may not be the way, but something for sure needs to.
