Ughh I hate this subject because it's so popular in my house. We are always fighting about insurance being necessary. I understand things like car, and life insurance. But things like dental insurance really? Most of the insurance companies toady are just money pits, and don't care about their clients. Most of them, people will never use in their lifetime. Insurances can sometimes be helpful, like life insurance, if you have a good policy, and then there's fire insurance in case your house burns down. But it's all about money, that why most of motorist nowadays don't have car insurance. Having a car is expensive enough, then when you add in gas, possible car payments, and then you factor in insurance it's insane. It makes sense why so many people don't have it. So how can this be fixed? Insurance can still be there, but it needs to be more affordable, and easier to get than going through the long process of obtaining it. A change needs to happen soon because I know tons of people my age that drive without insurance and licenses but that's a different subject.
I am personally connected to this because my brother is in college. In particular UF, they have a lottery based system on admissions. First of all a lottery system is when a college randomly selects who they let in, not caring about the credentials of the other people applying. I think this system is unfair and a lot of people loose out on a college that they have worked for. My brothers experience is actually astounding he had a 4.7 GPA, and a 2000 on the SAT, to me this is a dream, this is what colleges should be looking for. So anyway, my brother had friends who were way less qualified, like having a 3.5 GPA and only a 1300 on the SAT and they got in over him. That's ridiculous. I understand why some colleges do this, but I think the cons out weigh the pros in this situation. So in all, if colleges didn't do this, the more deserving kids that actually put in the work wouldn't be turned away from opportunities that they deserve.
I think in today the word oppression with African Americans most people get the wrong idea. Yes they were oppressed in the way of slavery and up until 1963 with the civil rights movement. But in today no they aren't oppressed that way anymore, they are oppressed in the eyes of society. In particular, through people that aren't African Americans. For some reason people are afraid of African Americans or their culture. I'm not sure why but the main issues today is police brutality. Myself being a white female, I see where they are targeted, or even treated unfairly. I don't know how to fix this because again it is a moral issue, there's a lot of racist people on both sides. But fighting and rioting isn't the way to solve it. It's literally a social issue so nothing can be put into law because then that can be seen as special treatment, and wouldn't go over well. All I know is that something needs to change, and that could be through education, like educating more on African Americans instead of all these white guys that we all forget anyway.
What if transgendered people were allowed to use any restroom at any place due to a national decree?6/3/2016 This is a very popular subject, for its everywhere in the news nowadays. Especially with target, because they publicly announced they have a open bathroom policy and that really upset some people. Again this is a moral issue, people not agreeing with the gender misidentifying, then there's the window for perversion. So here's my opinion, I don't care. I don't care if your a gender I've never heard of, if all you want to go is use a bathroom go right ahead see if I care, but then again I'm 17 and don't have kids that I worry about. I can see the parents side of things like saying pervs that's identify with the opposite gender could sit in bathrooms and possibly cause issues for younger children. My response to that is if your so worried that your kid is going to be hurt somehow, go to the bathroom with them. It's that easy. What do you think they should have a separate bathroom? No, now you are being discriminatory to someone who truly believes they are the opposite gender, your singling them out. And that's as wrong as someone denying you using a bathroom because they don't agree with your morals pretty much. I think this issue is way to blown up for that transgenders make up what 1% of the population, it's hardly an issue to worry about right now.
This would really be a good thing because it would make us more progressive. I'm all for progressivism and strive for new ideas and ways of life, so living completely paper free is something that I could see happening. I think this would encourage new inventions that would possibly take over the world. Like iPhones, those are everywhere, and many people rely on those every single day. Not only would this make us progressive it would slow or eventually stop deforestation, which is great because you know we need trees to breathe so it's a win win. They only issue would be money because a lot of people in lower income wouldn't be able to afford to live their life digitally simply because they wouldn't be able to afford it. So the only way this could work is if whatever would be used digitally could be affordable.
I think the idea of a king or queen is something of the past. Even today kings and queens are used in many places throughout Europe, and I think that policy is entirely too old. I think even the modern day president is too much. I don't think anyone should have that type of power, even if they power is controlled and regulated. Most politicians today are corrupt as they come and are virtually untouchable. It's not right that just be sue they people have money they can do what ever they want, or even run for president. Like Donald Trump he's a wealthy businessman with no political background, and just decides he wants to run for president, why because he has money. It's not right. So i believe that instead of all these kings queens and presidents that there should be more than one person being the face of a country. Like a hand full of people. I don't like the idea of a few people controlling a country. See it works for the United States because we have 3 branches that keep everyone in check. But then again most of the world doesn't look to the u.s on government stability.
A few days ago I found a helping the hungry label on a granola bar company's box in my pantry. It got me thinking wow if every company did this we could actually make a big impact on ending hunger. But at closer inspection I noticed there was a code on it to put online to guarantee someone food. So just buying the product does nothing. It literally just encourages people to put in the code online, and then they will do it. For myself just noticing the code, if I have time, sure I'll go put the code in. But for most people they probably think buying the product they are doing their part, but in reality they aren't. I understand the idea but who is it really helping the people that need food or the company making profit. I think this entire system is bad, and needs to be fixed just imagine how much more food where ever it's going, if. Companies gave 5 servings of food for just buying the product, the difference would actually make a difference.
Honestly I'm not a fan of either candidates. They both are against each other in numerous ways including women's rights, foreign policy, gun rights. I think these two are too different to be running against each other, this contest is literally a fight between peoples morals, not to mention the first women president ever. I'm actually hoping for an independent nominee that fits right in the middle. It's not even about democrats and republicans anymore because each candidate has morals and ideas which directly go against their parties. So I would like someone who's independent and not one sided on important issues to run for president. But in reality trump and Hillary are very popular and if one of them were to win, it would just create more issues because there are so many people against the opposite candidate. All I can say is good luck America, 2016 elections will be one to remember.
So first of all if this were true id be the happiest person alive. but also there would be alot of animals, and not just the nice ones, so that would kinda suck. But what i think of first when hearing this is that id have my dogs forever, and as of right now i couldn't imagine life without them. So for all you dog lovers out there, how great would life be if we could have our dogs forever? i would love life even more. I recently read somewhere about a little boy saying why dogs in particularly die so early. he said that they are born happy, and they are here to make people happy, and that happiness can only be here for so long. That just melted my heart. So overall it would be a great thing, and a bad thing.
Okay, so to start i believe they do. I think there has already been some type of contact with something extraterrestrial I would consider myself a conspirator just because of all the documentaries, series, and proof that they do exist and that they have been here. I think its crazy to believe that we are the only living beings in this solar system. For how big it is, i think it's absolutely ridiculous if we are the only planet capable of life. So, to get to the question what if they did exist. Well first of all i'd want to meet one, and hopefully they wouldn't be hostile, but if they were we are looking at a real life independence day. Anyhow, i think it would be perfectly fine if we lived in a world with aliens, we could be already, and just don't know
